Questions parents ask

ADHD and autism assessments: before you book

Answers to what families ask most. Can’t see your question? Call 07756 199710, Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00.

Do you do assessment online?

Yes – we do offer assessments online. However, we would like to meet children and families in person wherever possible.

We will try to book an appointment for you as soon as possible. Please contact our team at the earliest to book the appointment.

We are able to offer appointments for children aged 5-18 years of age for ADHD Assessments and aged 3-18 years for ASD Assessments.

Assessments are led by Dr Meenakshi Tanwar, a Consultant Developmental Paediatrician with more than 20 years in paediatrics and child health. She is GMC registered and a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).

Yes. The two conditions often occur together, and the assessment considers both where there are concerns about attention, social communication and behaviour.

Many GPs agree to shared care once a child is settled on medication, but this is at your GP’s discretion, so it is worth asking them before you book. Our reports include practical recommendations that schools and SENCOs can act on. The NHS guide to ADHD diagnosis explains how assessments work.
